Ever since Anet nerfed farming I have hated them. I hope this pisses people off as much as that update did. It's good that they are giving all the nubs a chance to get greens without spending any time to get them, since we can't farm them anyways! Why don't we all just quit gw and play Final Fantasy 12? We'd have much less of a headache and wouldn't have idiots like anet always screwing everything up.

I suppose you mean it ruins it for farmers, why should anyone care about farmers - now regular people have a good chance of getting a green, that seems like a good idea to me.

I must be a newb then, I think its great, it'll let me get some weapons/offhands which are REALLY hard to get normally, or at least, I'm hoping it will.

Btw, I thought greens were put in the game to help the casual player? The non-casual player normally opts for the skin they like + the mods they like rather than a green which can't be changed, right?

Doesn't bother me any. I've been picking up green drops like candy, and that, in the course of general play. Got two new ones tonight in about two and half hours of play... Some of my chars are now spoiled for choice. My mesemer and my monk now have multiple green weps and/or focii. My Necro has more greens now than he has wep slots available.

Go ahead, drop more greens on me, see if it makes me happier... It won't. Probably won't make me much richer, either, as prices plummet.

*shrug again*

What the **** is Anet doing?

On one hand they nerf farming and on the other they increase green drops to encourage it... this doesn't make sense.

What happened at the last green weekend - the place was overrun with 3/4/5 man farming teams?
Anet you need to make up your mind - is farming good or bad?
Where does farming become "bad" farming?
Is solo farming bad? Is 2 man farming bad? Is 3 man farming ok? WTF?

Of course the only difference this time around is that the 3/4 man farming teams will of course be a single player with heroes.

Exactly what I've been saying, every single word true. How did Anet keep our attention till NF came out. By giving us "Farming" special weekends. The encouraged us to farm our hearts out. Then 2 days before NF they nerf all farming. I really don't understand their business concept on that but hey. I personally know at least 9 people that didn't buy the game because of that. And have been telling more not too, and they havent.

But now Anet finds itself either losing sales or watching people leave. SO what do they do to try and stop people from leaving, try and tempt us with green farming. All I have to say Anet is "Too little, too late" Fix the motherRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing real problem, and quit wasting your time, our time with a sugar coating. Thats only a temp. fix and what then? Are you not going to address the real problems and instead, try and keep us hooked with triple/double weekends for the next 5 months?

Oh and Btw - you need to invest in a person that actually talks with the community about real problems. Not one that skirts the issues because they are not "Happy" topics.

I refuse to use them myself but they are a great source of income. Usally a few hundred plat a day. This jsut makes it so all the people without the abilty to farm them get them for next to nothing. I might aswell go back to running people through mission.

There is a little thing called enconomy and you are messing with it big time. Nightfall hasnt even been out a full month and you are allready skrewing the pony with this weekend event.

No. For me, when I go with heros in any continent, not just Elona, I get about half the drops as when I go with either henchies (no heros, just me and henchies) or players (no heros, just me and other players). Oh, and I've been counting how many items I have before I sell them to the merchant/put them in my storage.I generally get at least double without the heros. Now maybe I'm just really, really, really unlucky when I'm with heros, but I doubt it. Oh well. At least heros made it a lot easier to play when you are just questing or don't feel like playing with other people or things like that.

Wrong. My guild and I and my others noticed an increase in drops. Many people got several more greens than normal.

Well I don't mind about this event, but we find out some things.

People move to slow trying to enjoy so get shafted.

People who don't have time to play the 30 hours it takes to get to the endgame get shafted, but some of them guys are slow too.

Then people who don't care like me and and some others who prefer rares to greens.

People who use greens to make money think they are getting shafted when they aren't because 5 greens for 20k is 100k and that's still quite a bit.

Then there are the people who like this and want the greens (eww greens whether I use them or not i'd use a non perfect gold over greens anytime) for hero's or themselves or are just sucking up to Anet.

People who like greens kind of annoy me but I'm biased. I use greens but I don't like them one bit, I just haven't found anything better and if I do, I will use it over a green any day. Then again casual players annoy me too cause they seem to have an attitude towards people who "have no lives." But that's a different story for a different time, fact is...

Greens are the easy way out, Anet listens to people who don't like high prices, and they don't listen to people who like to farm because farming is bad apparently because it makes money to afford the armors that they make cost so much.

Nice. Let's all just instantly assume the worst and not even entertain the notion that this is A-Net's way of both continuing with their weekend-events (Feelings of which are mixxed. Everytime one comes along everyone yells and screams that it's just a placation, others love the fact that the devs actually have things like this, and don't leave GW as stagnant as other games.), and giving everyone a greater chance at equiping their Heroes with nice weapons (Which, again, is something everyone's complaining about recently.)

But no, I'm sure it's just a desperation move on A-Net's part. Doing things to keep your fans happy is always a desperation move.
